New York City has once again fallen victim to a terrorist attack this Halloween night. A 29 year old Uzbekistan native rented a Home Depot truck and drove it through a pedestrian and biking lane before crashing into a bus. The attack left eight dead and fifteen injured. Thankfully, the NYPD was able to contain the damage the terrorist could cause. The terrorist dedicated his attack to ISIS, but it appears that he was radicalized only after immigrating to the United States.

Since Catalonia declared independence from the rest of Spain last week, much has changed. Spain’s parliament went through with their plans of activating article 155 of the Spanish Constitution and Catalonia’s local parliament has been sacked in its entirety. The Catalan ex-president along with three ex-ministers are currently in Brussels, Belgium appealing to the rest of Europe and have ignored court summoning back to Spain. Spanish courts are beginning to put ex-ministers on trial on the charges.

A previously unknown chamber has been discovered in the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the largest of the pyramids at the Giza necropolis. Archaeologists came across this chamber by looking at muon particles. Muon particles are subatomic particles produced when cosmic rays collide with our atmosphere; the muons then shoot towards the earth, passing through hundreds of meters of rock before decaying. This decay can be measured, allowing large voids in a structure, such as an obscure chamber in the Great Pyramid, to be detected.
