How to be a superior writer

Nearly everyone is capable of writing, one way or another. It’s been certified as well, for a staggering eighty-four percent of the world is capable of writing. This generates a total juxtaposition from what the statistics were nearly a century ago. The fact of that speaks volumes itself, for it states that everyone possesses an unbridled potential when it comes to writing.

Writing has been an essential element of communication for eons, proving itself to be vital for relaying information. It has also been used as a form of entertainment and cathartic engagement for nearly 900 years, dating back to the King Arthur novels when the population exhibited a multitude of grammatical errors. One is to think with all of the advancements that humans have made thus far, they would no longer face these dilemmas, right? Wrong. It is still commonly presented by masses to this very day, leading to a variety of ways that one can become a better writer.

Grammar is one of the most essential factors in becoming a superior writer. It is key to possess astute grammatical information when writing about an extended topic. Possess a more lucrative understanding; take note of spelling, comma placement, and overall sentence form. For instance; if one had erroneously capitalized throughout their sentence, they should know how to distinguish a run-on sentence from an incomplete thought, know what an independent clause is, and be able to determine what punctuation is required to appropriate it. Determining the placement of subordinate conjunctions and their proper punctuation is rather beneficial as well, for it earns one a closer seat to novelized success.

Vocabulary is a different matter to speak of, however. Unlike grammar,  standard vernacular doesn’t dictate writing capability. One can inquire about this to any form of certified professional, such as someone who is in the field of extended language arts, and they would reach a mutual agreement upon the matter. It is one of the leading reasons why various people refuse to write; they’re insecure about their limited or average vocabulary. Sure, it’s sublime to have a more expansive range of optimal words to improve the flow of a piece, but aside from that, it means nothing. Just because one’s vocabulary is grand doesn’t necessarily mean that they are a naturally talented writer.

It is also important to tap into the tremendous degree of visionary based on retained content. Everyone has an imagination and are then qualified to brandish it through diverse manners of representation. Have the confidence to embrace it, for that’s how eloquent possessions are conceived. If one is absent from original concepts, they should locate some inspiration or source material to construct their own roads of literary delivery. Many iconic authors used this method to their gain; George R.R. Martin is a prime example of such. Imagination is an abstract noun that is not finite; it is to be used, embraced and manifested. Doing such is sure to improve one’s writing ability.

Lastly, a train of explicit thought should be formed while writing. Never monotonously inscribe basic material that differs ever so slightly in tone. One should envision the mood they yearn to institute, and allow it to envelop the writing as they continue to add to a piece. Ruminate the possible topics and details that serve the greatest level of purpose; frequently differentiate the word choice and placement when altering the tone. In addition to this, make the most out of what is given. Do not disregard a resource because it doesn’t entirely relate to one’s own thoughts; consistently follow through with the subject in the best way possible. Hopefully, these tips were of service, and have ingrained a greater insight into writing.
