Is social networking beneficial?

In the current generation, people do not use their phones to merely message each other with a normal messaging app; on the contrary, they are all using social media to communicate. Nearly everyone uses it without questioning the pros and cons to use them so much.

Social networking websites can be important. People can communicate easily using them; however. that is, in itself, what phones were made for in the first place. Their only advantage that one can message the whole world if they have a profile on a social media app set to do that.

Some people are using social media in place of exercise. They worry about their profiles more than staying healthy because they can simply change their “appearance” with filters, with Snapchat—the largest filter platform—alone having over 50 rotatable filters.

Additionally, some people post fake personalities in order to get everybody to like them, or, on a less extreme scale, they will say something false about their lives to receive a certain type of attention.

If people learn to manage their social media lives and keep up their exercise, such platforms will be more acceptable. However, if people do not maintain their fitness as a consequence of social media overuse, they will develop a variety of problems throughout their lives.
