A (Trojanette) Fairy Tale

Once upon a time there was a great tower that sat on a majestic hilltop.

The tower was the envy of all the land.

It was made of golden spires and possessed magical powers that had never before been seen.

It was built and lived in by many heroines throughout the years.

They were responsible for its power for it was they who had built it to such grandeur.

However, there were many opponents of the tower who were envious of the tower’s gold and magic.

They wanted nothing more than to steal the tower’s treasures and bring it to their own kingdoms.

And the heroines, fierce as they were, knew they could not defend the tower alone.

So they enlisted the help of a knight to lead them and protect them from their enemies.

The knight stood by the gates with his sword in hand and defended the tower as best he could.

He was also entrusted to teach the heroines the lessons that they needed when it was their time to leave the tower behind.

He defended the tower for many years and the tower still stood as the envy of all the land.

And the knight was proud to defend and teach the heroines which he had grown to love.

Yet enemies continued to storm the gates, and as time went by his arms began to grow weary from swinging his trusted sword.

His family loved the tower too, but they were getting older and were ready for adventures of their own.

It was then that the knight learned that nobody, not even him, can stay at the tower forever.

So he laid down his sword, knowing that there would be a new knight that would come and continue the traditions of defending the tower.

And so, with his family by his side, the knight left the hilltop and the tower that he loved for so long.

As he embarked on his new adventure, he knew that he had left his mark on the tower and the heroines who lived there while he defended it.

And as he rode off into the sunset, he believed they knew that they had left their mark on him too.

For all time.
