Trojans hold strong against Wyoming Area to win final home game

Every varsity athlete has anxious feelings going into their final regular season home game. They have come so far and done so much to have it all crumble in the end. Wyoming Area came into the game knowing that a key player from our Trojan side was going to be missing from the action due to an injury in the previous game, but with a very steady attack we proved that they would be a force to be reckoned with.

The first quarter ended with a one point lead in Wyoming Area’s favor, but with quick defensive tactics, the Trojans were successful in holding the Warriors to only eight points and taking the slight edge by putting up twelve by half.

The third quarter was when things really began to heat up. The Warriors came back to take a slight lead for a few moments, but the Trojans stuck strong to their brick wall of a defense and came back to a 35-28 scoreline.

With five minutes remaining in the game, our Trojans held a strong 42-32 lead and fans knew this was going to be a Cinderella story of a night. The game ended with a score of 51-37, pushing the Trojans to an 18/4 record.

Game statistics:
